Pastor
Joel Morales was raised in a Christian home where his parents
taught him the Word early in life as a very young child.
He accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized in the First
Baptist Church in Raymondville, Texas.
He met his wife in High School and married in 1966. They were blessed
with a great daughter and son in law that love the Lord as well. One of
our greatest blessing is that of a grandson that wants to be just like
his grandfather and follow him in the ministry.
In 1970, Pastor Joel and his brothers started a singing ministry known
as the “Morales Brothers”. The Morales Brothers’ Gospel music has taken
them throughout our neighboring states ministering wherever the Lord
led.
Later in life, while still singing for the Lord, Pastor Joel and his
brother, Ruben, started the 1st Spanish CARE group in Rockwell,
Texas. He has always been involved in the CARE ministries in Rockwell
and later on with Southwest Harvest Church until Pastor Sonny felt it
was time for him to become a Pastor. He was ordained as the Pastor of
Iglesia Southwest on March 25, 2007.
Pastor Joel says, "I consider this position a great honor and a
tremendously blessing to be able to minister to people."
